Dive deep into the heart of Mexico’s capital, starting with a warm welcome and a sumptuous dinner at Contramar on your first night. Contramar is known as one of the best seafood restaurants in Mexico. The charbroiled fish was featured on the TV program “Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico”.
Over the next few days, you’ll explore the historic center, savoring tastings at the city’s oldest traditional candy shop and indulging in an authentic taco tour paired with local beer and mezcal.
Uncover the charm of Coyoacan with a visit to its bustling market and Frida Kahlo’s iconic Casa Azul, followed by a scenic boat ride and lunch in Xochimilco. Your evenings will be filled with unforgettable experiences like a chocolate pairing adventure.
Immerse yourself in Mexico City’s culinary and cultural treasures with a visit to a local market in Colonia Roma, where you’ll participate in an interactive cooking class. Relish free time to explore the trendy neighborhoods of Colonia Roma or Condesa, and conclude your journey with a farewell dinner at the renowned Pujol, hailed as one of the best restaurants in the world. Pujol was recently awarded 2 stars in the 1st Michelin Guide for Mexico!

Pick up at MEX airport and transfer to hotel in downtown Mexico City. In the evening,
transfer for dinner at Contramar

Breakfast at the hotel-which is included every morning. The views of the main square from the rooftop restaurant look amazing AND I was sent a picture of this pastry from the restaurant! It looks delicious.
For our first full day we will head out for a tour in the historic center, ending with tastings at the
oldest traditional candy shop in Mexico City. After free time to explore at leisure,
we will have an authentic taco tour with local beer and mezcal tastings. #yum
Hotel: Zocalo Central-BTW it has a 24 hour cafe with food and beverages included for guests!
We will visit the neighborhood of Coyoacan, including its local market, then continue to visit
Frida Kahlo’s Casa Azul.
Then get ready to party on a boat ride with lunch in Xochimilco.
In the evening we will have a
chocolate pairing experience with Mexican wines! I am so excited about this!

We will explore a local market in Colonia Roma followed by cooking class in the same neighborhood.
You will have a free afternoon to explore Colonia Roma or Condesa.
Our farewell dinner will take place at the the Michelin star restaurant-Pujol.

Payment and Cancellation Policies
Payment:
$2900 for single occupancy per person, $2600 for double occupancy per person. Accommodations at Zocalo Central Hotel.
2 Junior Suites are available with king size beds with views of Zocalo (the main square of Mexico City) for an additional $337 Single occupancy, Double occupancy $110. This additional cost is for the entire stay-not per night.
Reservations:
Hold your spot with $250 per person deposit-50% of this is refundable for 30 days from deposit date.
90 days prior to departure date-by November 13, 2024-50% of remaining tour balance is due. 25% of this amount is refundable up until 60 days prior to departure date.
60 days prior to departure date-December 13th, 2024-final balance is due!! There will be no refunds after this date! If you have not paid in full by this date, you risk losing your spot on the tour.

Tour Frequently asked questions
Both. The trips will focus on food & wine destinations around the world. There be land and sea-based itineraries.
Most trips will be for adults over the age 18, all genders. But some trips will be women only. Some will allow for children. The trips will be small from 12-15 people except for cruises.
The lengths will range from weekend trips of 3-4 days, trips from 5-7 days and longer trips of 8-10 days. It will depend on the destination and itinerary. Pricing will depend on the length and location.
Expect affordable luxury tours with 4–5-star hotel accommodations. For most itineraries, some meals and tours will be included. Airfare will not be included but may be quoted as an add-on. Pricing will depend on the tour and length. Deposits and cancellation policies will vary per trip.
This service will not be provided. You will need to book with your own travel companion or pay for a single room. There may be an additional charge for a single room i.e., a single supplement.
